The concept of a Barbie doll for a real woman is both unhealthy and unrealistic. Media has created the "perfect" woman when in fact ALL women regardless of body type, age, race or even political leanings are beautiful in their own right. 

I have photographed many women who would be considered full figured or curvy and they have helped me create stunning images that not only made them feel great about themselves but also left them thinking, "why did I wait so long to feel good about myself."

Age truly is just a number and I often think of Toby Keith's "Don't Let The Old Man In" when women tell me they think they are too old for boudoir images. I would ask them, "how old would you be if you did not know how old you are?" I have photographed woman in their 50's and 60's and the images are mind blowing. 

The beautiful lady featured in this blog is one of the most confident women I have had the pleasure of meeting but during our shoot she made the comment that she knows she is not everyone's cup of tea. This just in, none of us are. I told her that anyone who did not want to shoot with her was missing a fantastic opportunity to create some amazing images and at the same time meet a truly fun person with a fabulous personality. 

Never UNDERESTIMATE your value and even if you do not want photos for someone else do it for yourself...you will be glad you did.
